Marilyn Manson is een Hardrock band uit zuid Florida, gesticht waarschijnlijk ergens in 1989 onder de naam: “Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids”.
De originele band line-up was:
Marilyn Manson; Zang
Daisy Berkowitz; Gitaar
Olivia Newton-Bundy; Bass
Zsa Zsa Speck; Keyboard
In november ’89 stapten Olivia en Zsa Zsa vervangen door Madonna Wayne Gaycy; Keyboard en Gidget Gein; Bass op. In Juli ’90 werd hun drummachine, die ze tot die tijd gebruikt hadden vervangen door Sara Lee Lucas.
Bassist Gein, Drummer Lucas en Daisy de gitarist werden in de loop der jaren vervangen door; Twiggy Ramirez (Bass), Ginger Fish (Drum) en Zim Zum (Gitaar).
Diezelfde Zim Zum verliet de band en werd vervangen door John 5.
Onlangs heeft Twiggy de band verlaten. Hij is vervangen door Tim Skold
